The Top

Hand selected, locally sourced west country solid oak or ash timber planed to 33mm thick is entirely your choice for this lovely two piece table top. Both hard wearing, beautifully tactile hardwoods that have their own unique character. You’ll find amazing swirls and contrasts throughout the timber resulting in each and every table top being completely unique! We also make a point of wire brushing the wood grain before finishing with oil to leave a lovely depth and feel to the wood.

Please note: this top is supplied in two pieces as standard, with a subtle grooved joint running lengthways along the centre as a design feature. If you prefer not to have this visible joint, please let us know in comments box when  ordering.

The Frame Style

Hand turned here in Devon, we marry English oak or ash legs with a super sturdy frame, bracing and handmade oak 'button' fixings. This is a hardworking but beautifully subtle design which allows for the timber to 'breathe' as it responds to the changing humidity levels of its surroundings. You may not notice any change - and that's the point - it just quietly and  confidently gets on with doing its thing so you can get on with yours.

Your Questions Answered

Choosing from our collection of hand made tables is a personal process, and questions are part of that journey. Here, we’ve answered some of the most common enquiries about the Mouse table, covering materials, finishes, sizing and the making process to help you commission with confidence.

The Mouse table is available in a range of standard sizes designed to suit both everyday dining and more informal family spaces. Its proportions are carefully considered to offer the character of a farmhouse table while remaining refined and well balanced.

If you require a different size, we can make the Mouse bespoke farmhouse table to your exact measurements.

The Mouse table is crafted from carefully selected British hardwood, most commonly oak or ash. British oak is valued for its strength, warmth and traditional farmhouse character, while ash offers a lighter tone with a more expressive grain.

Both timbers are well suited to farmhouse tables, offering durability, stability and natural beauty. Each board is chosen individually, ensuring your table is unique.

We offer a range of finishes designed to protect the wood while allowing the natural grain of oak or ash to show through. These include natural oil finishes and softer tones that suit the understated farmhouse style of the Mouse table.

If you are looking for a bespoke finish, such as a tinted oil or a specific colour treatment, this can usually be arranged on request.

Yes. While the Mouse table has a clearly defined and pared back farmhouse form, there is scope for personalisation. Alongside size, timber and finish, subtle adjustments can often be made to suit your interior and how you plan to use the table.

If you have a particular idea in mind, we are happy to discuss what is possible and advise on the best approach.

Yes. The Mouse table is designed for everyday living. Made from solid British hardwood and constructed using robust joinery, it is well suited to daily meals, family gatherings and regular use.

This is a bespoke farmhouse table built to last, developing character over time rather than wearing out.

Your table will follow the same overall design and proportions as shown, but each bespoke farmhouse table will be unique. Variations in grain, colour and texture are a natural part of working with solid oak and ash.

These differences are part of the appeal of handcrafted hardwood furniture and ensure your Mouse table is genuinely one of a kind.

A Yaffle & Bosk bespoke farmhouse table is made individually, by skilled makers, using solid British hardwood. The Mouse Pure table is not mass produced and is never taken from stock. Each table is made to order, allowing time to select high quality oak or ash and to construct and finish the table by hand.

This approach results in a farmhouse table with real substance, warmth and longevity. Natural grain patterns, subtle colour variation and the feel of solid hardwood are central to the design, creating a table that is built for everyday use and designed to last for generations.

You can order the Mouse bespoke farmhouse table directly through the product page by selecting your preferred size, finish and colour, then adding it to your basket.

If you would like advice before ordering, or if you have specific requirements not shown online, you are very welcome to get in touch. We are happy to discuss sizing, timber choice and finishes to help you make an informed decision.

Yes. While the Mouse table is shown in a range of standard sizes and finishes, bespoke means we can adapt the design to suit your home.

If you need a different length or width, or if you are looking for a particular finish to complement your interior, we can work with you to create a bespoke farmhouse table that fits comfortably and works beautifully in your space.

Each Mouse table is made to order, allowing time for careful timber selection, construction and finishing. Lead times are typically around 8 to 10 weeks, although this can vary depending on current workload and the availability of British oak or ash.

Once your order is confirmed, we will provide an estimated delivery date and keep you informed as your table progresses through the workshop.

Yes. Wherever possible, we deliver bespoke farmhouse tables personally to ensure they arrive safely and are handled with care. The Mouse table is a solid piece, and we are happy to help position it in your space and assist with any straightforward assembly if required.

Delivery costs depend on location and access and will always be confirmed with you in advance.

Solid hardwood furniture benefits from simple, regular care. We recommend using placemats or coasters for hot items, wiping up spills promptly and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct heat or strong sunlight.

Your bespoke farmhouse table can be refreshed over time using a suitable hardwax oil to maintain its finish. Full aftercare guidance is provided so you can care for your table with confidence.
